How I use generative AI

I use generative AI tools to help research, draft, and collate the material across this site. I treat them as an assistant (for gathering sources, structuring thinking, and tidying prose), but the judgement, the editorial decisions, and the responsibility for what's published are mine.

I think being transparent about this matters, so I'd rather say it plainly here than leave it unsaid. The slop-meter at the foot of each post comes from the same instinct: an anonymous, low-friction way for you to tell me when something reads more like a machine than a person. I read that signal, and I use it to write better.
